NURSERY AND PRE-SCHOOL
Our 0-6 reality is different, original, new and "child-friendly" conceived and built in 1991 in Via Lambrate in Milan.

Il Nano Gigante is up to date with times in respect to the educational proposals and didactics of learning and socialization.
​
It is important for us to be able to excite and speak to the child's sensoriality.
​
From September 2015 the school enters a new phase of its history by moving to the new headquarters in Via Pitteri in Milan with large spaces illuminated by windows overlooking the courtyard of the Martinitt complex.
​
Il Nano Gigante is now considered a point of reference for the education of the little ones in the panorama of Milanese infant schools.
OUR
PROPOSAL
OF TEACHING
We believe that knowledge always passes through the child's practice and discovery, within a game context which is the main engine of learning.
​
Each child can find ideas and the possibility of starting a personal research, action and learning project within our offer.
​
Activity is never seen detached from care, as we believe that there is no activity without it.
​
Our idea of didactic programming is based on Dewey's activism who successfully proposed the dynamics of “doing” so that the child is finally the active subject of the learning process.
Each project that is brought to the attention of our children connects in a natural and functional way to all the other educational projects in order to strongly emphasize and resume every aspect of our educational project.
Some activities and projects that are successfully carried out are:
The garden project that brings children closer to nature, mathematics, logic and the care of others.
Jolly Phonics is a program that we have been using for three years now that leads children to a first approach to reading and writing in English.
The library project that opens doors to unexplored worlds is very important to us; resumes and connects with various other projects (identity project, stick and stones), among which, the theater project.

ADMISSION
You are invited to arrange an interview to learn about our Educational Project for the Nursery School and the Pre-School, to meet our teachers and visit our large and bright spaces.
​
You can request a presentation of the school in Italian or in English.
Registration procedure:
once you have made the decision to enroll your children in the nursery school or
Pre-school of “Il Nano Gigante" you will have to fill in the personal data sheet, sign the enrollment contract, attach the vaccination and health certificate.
We remind you that the place for your son or daughter will only be guaranteed after payment of the registration fee.
